1heart is home for change makers, creative innovators and soul seekers who feel called to co-create a collective future as one Tribe. 1heart exists to serve and support leaders on their Journey to higher consciousness, deeper fulfillment, holistic well-being, and more meaningful contributions.
Before founding 1heart, Brandon built multiple successful tech startups but sought deeper meaning and fulfillment. When he faced several heavy challenges, he embarked on a two-year Journey that began with his first Ayahuasca experience.
His Journey also included many modalities from around the world and work with leading teachers and programs. On his 40th birthday, he chose to vulnerably share his story in a tell-all article he titled “Lost on Purpose”. It was the first personal article he had written, and almost immediately after posting it on Medium with zero followers, it went viral.
From the article’s response, it became clear that many others who had achieved some level of success in this world were seeking similar paths to greater meaning and joy. This created a deep desire within him to serve other leaders find new paths and 1heart was born.

WHY DON'T YOU MENTION YOUR MEDICINE TEAM?
To respect their work and sacred service as we honor society’s current stance on plant medicines and psychedelics. It’s rare, yet too frequent, that a medicine person gets targeted for the work they’re doing to support how our collective consciousness is evolving. We’ve seen it happen to people in our 1heart family. So we keep a lid on things to support everyone’s safety and best interest.
We want to protect the people doing this work with 1heart—the women and men who have devoted their lives to this.
Our Medicine Team is also quite involved in our time together in Costa Rica. They listen to our integration shares, pass on different wisdom, stories, songs, and jokes, and join in at other times throughout the week.
While we won’t discuss specific people at our Altar, we’ll share some generalizations because just as 1heart is a world-class program unlike any other in the world, the same holds true for our Medicine Team.
The Medicine Women and Men that support 1heart Journeys are rockstars. They’ve studied for decades, if not longer, in different areas of Central and South America, particularly within the Amazon. They are incredible musicians, down to Earth, approachable, relatable, wise, and funny. Laughter, along with safety, is a core value of 1heart.
The Altar of 1heart is a cross-pollination between cultures. It is rare that one ceremony has influences across different traditions and that they’re able to work together so smoothly, beautifully, and safely. And then there’s the fact that a Medicine Woman leads 1heart Journeys. Because we align with the feminine approach to introducing people to the profundity of Ayahuasca. Rather than dosing everyone with a cup full to the brim, we start slow and pour the servings low.
COMMUNITY AS MEDICINE.
As many say of 1heart, the medicine is the community. Yes, the Ayahuasca ceremonies are super powerful, as is much of the additional programming at 1heart. And nearly everyone who joins a Journey knows the impact the 1heart community has on their experience and transformation. Many experience being loved, supported and seen by the forty “strangers” on their Journey in a deeper way than they’ve ever experienced in their lives.
While 1heart has welcomed billionaires, award-winning directors, tech innovators, AgTech pioneers, conscious capitalists, government workers, TED speakers, NGO founders, TV stars, teachers, and leaders in all industries and fields, it is the diversity that creates the magic. Each Journey features people from all over the globe from various industries, ages, and career stages.
Our scholarship program also ensures that heart-centered leaders lacking financial freedom or just beginning their careers can join our Journeys and gain exposure to this work as well as mentors and lifelong friends to support them along their path.
1heart also welcomes people with various experiences with Ayahuasca and/or psychedelics. While many with extensive experience have joined and found the experience to be beyond all expectations, 1heart is especially known for its work with 1st-time Ayahuasca drinkers. In fact, about 70% of each Journey have never worked with Ayahuasca before. They typically choose 1heart based on a referral (80%+ of participants come via referral) who have shared with them about the loving, safe, and supportive container that 1heart holds and is known for. So, whatever your experience level, you will find an experience that meets and exceeds your needs (and wildest expectations).
